Women’s Tennis start season 4-0

The Women’s Tennis team has remained undefeated after four games, winning every match almost 9-0.

In the first match against Lesley, Rhode Island College defeated their opponents to start the semester off with a victory. The team for singles matches were made up of Dayne Reilly, Grace Zangari, Katherine Braganca, Laura Nastasi, Hailey Raskob and Serena Bobola. For the doubles, Dayna Reilly and Emily Orticerio, Katherine Braganca and Laurel Ten Eyck, and finally Victoria Vittori and Grace Zangari.

Against Salve Regina, the team won every match again, except Laurel Ten Eyck was subbed in for Serena Bobola in the singles competition, and Isabella Romeo subbed for Ten Eyck in the doubles competition. Olivia Campanella made her debut against Suffolk in singles matches as the team, once again, cleared out their competition.

Finally, though winning overall 8-1, the team suffered their first loss match against Plymouth State as Kerstin Venincasa and Jenna Sundquist defeated Braganca and Romeo.

The team will have two matches away against Clark University and Eastern Nazarene College on Tuesday and Thursday. They will return home to have matches against Salem State University on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m.
